Yesterday, the GPHG will hold its first Beijing tour exhibition at Beijing Art 8. In this award, three Hermes watches have been selected, namely: Arceau suspended time 38mm rose gold diamonds selected for women’s complex watches, Pendentif Boule selected for best women’s watches, Arceau H Cube selected for best arts and crafts Watch.
Arceau Le Temps Suspendu 38mm
The Arceau Le temps suspendu watch gives you the opportunity to experience rest and rest without any time constraints. When the button on the 38mm case is pressed, the hour and minute hands stop at 12 o’clock. The time was thus erased from the dial, derailed from standard time, and moved invisibly at the same time. Press the button again and the time is back on track and it works as usual. Eyes are locked on the small 24-second dial in real time, and the vivid hands run counterclockwise endlessly, mocking the passage of time in a unique way. Behind the rotation of hands like ballet toes hides a set of smart mechanisms developed exclusively by Emma Ren to direct the movement of this unique and complex watch function. The movement has two patents-one is its own building structure, and the other is a gear that reduces movement-an additional module of the homemade movement H1912. The run-time and stop-time modes are synchronized with two column wheels: one for the hours and the other for the minutes. This 360-degree flyback hour and minute function makes time disappear instantly, but the movement of the movement is not suspended. The fourth gear runs in the opposite direction, allowing time to advance without interruption, and is displayed on the movement indicator of the movement.
Arceau H Cube
There are simple materials in the world that are rich sources of inspiration for craftsmen. Straw is exactly one of them. On the dial of the Arceau watch, the watchmaker uses miniature marquetry to create a representative pattern in bright tones, which is eye-catching. Straw is an extraordinary material: the stem of rye is long and smooth, and the available parts need to be carefully selected. Plant species planted on a single cultivated land, carefully harvested by hand, and then dyed. After successive dyeing and soaking, the wheat straw is air-dried, showing a vivid and detailed hue, mixed with low-key light. The craftsman combines the color, shadow and fiber direction of each straw to create a straw inlay process that becomes a pattern on the dial. The craftsmen cut each part with incomparable standards, assembled them one by one in an unimaginably small space, and reshaped the perspective trick of the H Cube pattern. The originality of the design and the work of Henri d’Origny Arceau watches have the same magic. The geometric pattern on the dial is based on a round platinum case with a diameter of 41 mm, with irregular lugs, and is driven by the H1837 self-made movement. The movement of the movement can be seen through the transparent sapphire case back on the case back.
Hermès’ archives are full of surprises, witnessing the glory of the past, and containing vast creativity and wisdom. A buttonhole timepiece that recently re-appeared inspired Hermès watchmakers to create a precious timepiece like a gem: Pendentif Boule. The small ball rolls and rotates at will, and shines as the diamond on the body blooms. More than 480 diamonds are distributed on the small ball timepiece, decorating the center and crown of the ball case, hiding the precise layout inside the platinum case. The dome case back at Hermès Watch & Clock Workshop features leather appliqués, highlighting the brand’s original sewing technology and harness manufacturing technology-the world’s true craft treasure. The transparent sapphire crystal on the surface interprets the three-dimensional roundness of the timepiece, protecting the natural mother-of-pearl dial, and the dial is decorated with fine round patterns to polish the hour indexes. Pendentif Boule is inlaid with dark blue matte crocodile leather on the back, with a white gold necklace or in different shades of leather.
