Athens Freak Diavolo Watch Details

The highly-recognized Freak Diavolo watch under the watch of ULYSSE NARDIN was first shown to the Athens dealers at Baselworld in 2010, and then gradually released. During this year’s Baselworld, this high-profile watch will be officially launched for sale.

This watch eliminates the traditional hour, minute, dial and crown design, and instead displays the specific time through the movement of the movement itself. The flying tourbillon of this watch replaces the usual oscillator. Outside the flying tourbillon cage, an arrow second indicator and a transparent semicircle scale are installed. The second indicator rotates every minute, and the position zero is fixed on the minute indicator axis.

In addition, two specially conceived ball bearing units allow the minute movement and the seconds indicator tourbillon to float without the need for bridge support. At the same time, the case back is used instead of the crown and the upper bezel can be rotated to adjust the time; the gear connection shaft runs directly through the movement to fix the three hands, or to avoid hand shifts when adjusting the time.

The watch uses silicon as the material for its patented hairspring (Si 1.1.1.). At the same time, most of the escapements of watches are made of silicon. The 18K white gold case measures 44.5mm, the movement frequency is 28800vph, and it provides a power reserve of up to 8 days.
